1. General provisions
1.1. This document has been drawn up in accordance with the law of the European Union, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the law of Italy in force, and international instruments governing the protection of personal data.
1.2. The site venetian.guide exists to publish information relating to tours, itineraries, cultural events and other aspects of visiting Italy, for an unrestricted readership regardless of nationality, language or status.
1.3. The site venetian.guide is operated and administered by ItaProfile, together with its lawful owner and administrators (the "Operator"). References to ItaProfile in this document include its owner, its administrators and other authorised persons.
1.4. The site and all its material — text, images, tour descriptions, indicative prices, graphics, video and audio — are illustrative and informational in character.
1.5. The site is not a public offer. All agreements, bookings and arrangements are concluded individually by email at ciao@itaprofile.com or through the official messaging channels listed at venetian.guide/en/contact. No other channel, social media included, creates any obligation on the part of ItaProfile.
1.6. By using the site you confirm your agreement with this document. If you do not agree, you must stop using the site.
1.7. ItaProfile may amend or update this document at any time without prior notice. You undertake to follow the changes published on the site; continued use of the site constitutes agreement with the current version.
1.8. All material and information is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or freedom from error. You assume all risk arising from the use of the information. ItaProfile is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of profit or of data, arising from the use of the site or from any inability to use it.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of this document the following terms apply.

- Personal data
- Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
- Processing
- Any operation performed on personal data, including collection, recording, organisation, storage, alteration, use, disclosure, anonymisation, restriction, erasure and destruction.
- Cookies
- Small files stored on a user’s device.
- Anonymisation
- Measures that make it impossible to attribute data to a particular person.
- Restriction
- The temporary suspension of processing.
- GDPR
- The General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union.
- Cross-border transfer
- The transfer of data to the territory of another state.
- Social media and third-party platforms
- The official accounts of ItaProfile on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and elsewhere.
- Force majeure
- Circumstances beyond the control of ItaProfile, including strikes, epidemics, failures of internet infrastructure, governmental restrictions, natural disasters and armed conflict.
3. Terms of use
3.1. You undertake to use the site only for lawful purposes and not to act in a way that infringes the rights of ItaProfile or of third parties.
3.2. The following are prohibited: submitting false information; copying material without written permission; using the site for unlawful acts or for unsolicited messaging; uploading or transmitting viruses, malicious code or any programme capable of disrupting the site; and using the site to damage the reputation of ItaProfile.
3.3. ItaProfile may alter the content of the site, including text, images, prices and functionality, without prior notice, and is not liable for the consequences of such changes.
4. Limitation of liability
4.1. All material on the site — tour and itinerary descriptions, prices, photographs, articles and text — is provided for information only.
4.2. Prices shown are indicative and may differ from those actually applied.
4.3. The terms of any tour or itinerary are agreed individually, by email or through the official messaging channels listed at venetian.guide/en/contact.
4.4. ItaProfile is not liable for errors or inaccuracies in the information, for outdated data, for technical failures of the site, or for the acts of third parties, including the hosting provider Vercel, the email service Resend, Google and other suppliers.
4.5. Social media and third-party platforms. ItaProfile maintains official accounts on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn, among others. Material published there is illustrative and informational, does not constitute a public offer, creates no obligation and cannot be treated as the final terms of any service. ItaProfile is not liable for how such material is interpreted, for errors, inaccuracies or outdated information within it, or for any loss arising from reliance upon it. Current terms, prices, routes and details are provided solely through individual correspondence.
4.6. ItaProfile is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of data or non-material damage arising from the use of the site, its material or third-party services, even where such loss was foreseeable.
4.7. ItaProfile does not control and is not liable for the content of third-party sites to which the site may link.
4.8. ItaProfile takes care over the accuracy of what is published on the site and in its official accounts, but does not warrant its completeness, currency or correspondence with actual conditions. Where published information differs from actual conditions, ItaProfile is not liable for the discrepancy, and you undertake to confirm all details in individual correspondence.
4.9. ItaProfile may at any time change or remove content, prices, routes and descriptions without prior notice. You accept responsibility for verifying that information is current before acting on it.
4.10. All text, images, prices and descriptions on the site and in the official accounts of ItaProfile are indicative and do not guarantee identity with the services actually provided. Final terms are established only in written correspondence, and any discrepancy between published information and actual conditions is not a ground for claim.
4.11. Comments, reviews and other user publications on social media and third-party platforms do not represent the position of ItaProfile, which is not liable for their content or for any consequence of relying on them.
4.12. ItaProfile is not liable for publications by third parties, even where they refer directly or indirectly to the brand, trading name or material of ItaProfile.
4.13. All material and information on every platform associated with ItaProfile is provided as is and as available, and carries no warranty of accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for a particular purpose.
4.14. ItaProfile is not liable for expenditure incurred on the basis of information published on the site or in its official accounts, including the purchase of tickets or the booking of services made before terms were confirmed in written correspondence.
4.15. ItaProfile does not warrant uninterrupted operation of the site, its compatibility with your software or devices, or freedom from error and failure.
5. Copyright
5.1. All material on the site is protected by copyright.
5.2. Copying or use of the material without the written consent of ItaProfile is prohibited.
5.3. Photographs, images and descriptions published on the site and in the official accounts of ItaProfile may be illustrative. The actual appearance of a place, itinerary or service may differ from the material shown. Such differences are not a breach on the part of ItaProfile and are not a ground for claim.
5.4. ItaProfile uses both its own photography and video and images licensed or drawn from open sources permitting commercial or informational use. If any content infringes the rights of a third party, that party may write to ciao@itaprofile.com; ItaProfile will consider the matter without delay and, where infringement is established, remove or replace the content. Claims are addressed out of court.
5.5. Unauthorised use of material from the site or from the official accounts of ItaProfile, including copying, distribution and modification, infringes copyright and carries liability under the applicable law.
5.6. ItaProfile gives no warranty as to the provenance of every item published and may remove or replace content at its discretion upon a well-founded claim.
6. Privacy policy (GDPR)
6.1. This policy governs the processing and protection of personal data collected through venetian.guide. Processing is carried out in strict accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the law of Italy (Decreto Legislativo 196/2003) and other applicable instruments of international law. Data is processed only for the purposes set out here.
6.2. Categories of data. ItaProfile may collect and process: identifying data (first name, surname); contact data (email, telephone, messaging handles); technical data (IP address, log files, browser and operating system information, referrer); communications data (correspondence through the form on the site, WhatsApp, Telegram and email); marketing data where consent has been given; and any information you supply voluntarily through the form or otherwise. If you transmit excessive or sensitive information — concerning health, political opinions, religious beliefs or private life — such data is processed only temporarily and is erased on first request; responsibility for transmitting it rests with you.
6.3. Lawful bases (Art. 6 GDPR): consent of the data subject; necessity for the performance of a contract; compliance with a legal obligation; and the legitimate interests of the site owner, including the security and improvement of the site.
6.4. Purposes: establishing and maintaining contact; advising on possible tours and services; preparing individual proposals; sending informational material only where consent has been given; maintaining anonymised traffic statistics; and protecting the site and its users from abuse.
6.5. Retention. Data is retained for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes of processing, and in any event for no longer than five years from the last interaction, after which it is erased or anonymised. ItaProfile applies administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit and restricted access. You may request erasure at any time, and ItaProfile will comply within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.
6.6. Transfers to third parties. Personal data may be disclosed to the infrastructure and service providers that operate the site — the hosting provider Vercel Inc., the email delivery service Resend, and the anonymised statistics service Vercel Web Analytics — and to public authorities where there is a lawful basis. All such parties are required to comply with the GDPR and to provide adequate protection.
6.7. Cross-border transfers. Data may be stored and processed on servers outside Italy and the European Union. In such cases Standard Contractual Clauses or another mechanism provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR applies.
6.8. Your rights (Arts. 15–22 GDPR): access to your data; rectification; erasure (the right to be forgotten); restriction of processing; portability; objection to processing; withdrawal of consent at any time; and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Italy).
6.9. Your obligations: to provide accurate data; not to transmit excessive information beyond what the site requires; and to secure your own devices and channels of communication.
6.10. The obligations of ItaProfile: to process data only for the stated purposes; to maintain its confidentiality and integrity; and to notify the supervisory authority and affected users of a data breach within 72 hours (Art. 33 GDPR).
6.11. Withdrawal and complaints. You may withdraw consent by writing to ciao@itaprofile.com, where complaints are also received. You may equally address the supervisory authority directly.
6.12. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide. Where excessive information is transmitted, including data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR, such transmission is treated as made on your own initiative.
6.13. Personal data may be used by ItaProfile for lawful purposes, including anonymised statistical analysis, the security of the site and the development of the service, subject to compliance with the GDPR.
6.14. ItaProfile is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or currency of the personal data you supply.
6.15. ItaProfile is not responsible for the processing of personal data where you have transmitted it yourself to third parties, including in messaging applications, on social media or through other services.
6.16. Identification data for tickets. In order to meet its obligations to you and to the institutions granting access to cultural and tourist sites in Italy — including the Palazzo Ducale, the Gallerie dell’Accademia, the Vatican Museums and other public or private bodies — ItaProfile may request passport details, date of birth and other identification expressly required by the official ticketing operators. By supplying such data you give explicit and unambiguous consent to its use solely for the purpose of arranging, reserving and purchasing tickets. ItaProfile undertakes to use such data only to the extent necessary, to disclose it only to authorised third parties acting under Italian and EU law, not to retain it longer than required, and to erase or anonymise it once the purpose is fulfilled. You acknowledge that ItaProfile is not responsible for the further processing of such data by the official ticketing operators, which is governed by their own privacy policies, nor for the security of the channel you chose to transmit it.
6.17. ItaProfile is not responsible for the processing of your personal data by third parties, including hosting providers, email services, statistics services and messaging applications. You undertake to acquaint yourself with the privacy policies of those parties.
8. Rights and obligations
8.1. Your rights: to obtain information about your data; to require its erasure; to withdraw consent; and to lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali in Italy.
8.2. Your obligations: to provide accurate and current data relating only to yourself; not to transmit unlawful or false data, or data belonging to third parties without their consent; and not to act in a way capable of damaging the site or the reputation of ItaProfile.
8.3. The obligations of the Owner: to store data securely; to use it only for the stated purposes; and to give notice of any breach of security.
8.4. Force majeure. In the event of circumstances beyond its control — including epidemics, pandemics, armed conflict, strikes, failures of internet infrastructure, the blocking of services, natural disasters, governmental restrictions and changes in the law — ItaProfile is released from its obligations and does not compensate loss, loss of data, loss of profit or non-material damage.
9. Updates
ItaProfile may amend this document without prior notice. A new version takes effect upon publication on the site. Continued use of the site, or any interaction with ItaProfile including correspondence by email and communication through messaging applications and social media, constitutes full agreement with the current version.
