Bespoke
Bespoke Venice: an itinerary built to your brief
If what you want is not in the list, it gets built from nothing
A catalogue of fourteen itineraries covers most requests, but not all of them. A wedding shoot at first light, film locations, a visit to a closed archive, an art route through the Biennale pavilions, a proposal on a rooftop — none of that assembles out of ready parts. Here the route is designed from nothing, to a particular brief.
Programme
- The conversationIt starts with what you want to end up with, not with what happens to be available. Sometimes it turns out to be simpler than it looked; sometimes it needs a month of preparation.
- FeasibilityI tell you plainly what is possible, what is possible with caveats, and what is not. Some interiors do not open for any money, and it is better to know that at the outset.
- LogisticsTransport, timing, reservations, filming permissions, arrangements with the venues. The largest part of the work, and the part that never shows in the result.
- On the dayI lead and settle whatever comes up on the spot. If something goes off plan — and in Venice it routinely does — the plan changes without involving you.

How this differs
A ready itinerary is a tested sequence that works for most people. Bespoke is when the brief comes from you and everything else is assembled around it. It costs more and takes preparation, but it solves what otherwise does not get solved.
Not for you if
- If the request fits an existing itinerary, take that one — it is cheaper and faster.
- Complex access needs two weeks to a month. Three days is not enough.
- Some spaces do not open at all, and I will say so at once rather than after payment.
When to go
| All year | Depends on the brief rather than the season. |
|---|---|
| Carnival, Biennale, the film festival | Plan well ahead: venues and suppliers are committed. |
| November to February | The easiest time to arrange something unusual: everyone has more room. |

Frequently asked
What does it cost?
Quoted individually by composition. I give an indication after the first conversation, before any commitment.
How far ahead should I write?
Simple requests, a few days. Closed access, filming or events, from a month.
Do you work outside Venice?
Yes, across Italy through ItaProfile. Multi-city itineraries are assembled there.
Can you arrange a proposal?
Yes, one of the most frequent requests. Anything from a gondola with a musician to a rooftop terrace.
What if I do not know what I want?
Then we start with a conversation. It usually takes a few questions for the brief to state itself.
Do you arrange photography and filming?
Yes, including permits where a location requires them. Photographers are engaged separately and quoted with the rest.
Can you work with a wedding planner or an agency?
Yes, regularly. Tell me who is coordinating and I fit into their structure.
What if the idea turns out to be impossible?
Then I say so before anything is committed, and usually propose the nearest thing that is possible.
